About
CologneOFF VIII – Continental Drift

The 8th festival edition in sequence of Cologne International Videoart Festival is standing under the motto “Continental Drift” and the specific relations of the continents to each other, the values of life in the contemporary world and the perspectives of the human race on our continents – therefore it is understandable that special issues are related to human rights and the living environment – and the individual and collective identity and memory. But “Continental Drift” is also related to art and its relation, values and relevance in human life and society. The selection is presenting a diversity of aspects of art & moving images. The festival is asking questions, whereby the films and videos do not answer them, but represent just a tool for inspiring the audience to find answers by reflecting. Eventually.
